FAQ'S

Menopause is a naturally occurring life-stage transition, usually occurring between 45-55 years. It is also known as “the change of life” as it marks the end of the reproductive years with the cessation of menstruation (periods). A woman is considered as being in menopause if she has not had any bleeding for 12 months. However, the term menopause is often used to include perimenopause and menopause.
Perimenopause refers to the period leading into menopause. This can last months to years. During this time, a woman’s hormone levels are fluctuating and decreasing, resulting in irregular periods and some symptoms of menopause. Perimenopause ends when a woman has gone without menstruating (periods) for 12 months.
The following list of is not an exhaustive of symptoms of menopause. Not everyone will experience these symptoms. – Hot flush – Night sweats – Headaches, migraines – Palpitations – Reduced libido (sex-drive) – Anxiety/tension – Depression
Oestrogen and other female hormones in the body begin fluctuating which results in irregular periods (may be longer, shorter or irregular cycles, or be heavier, lighter or unpredictable). Eventually, the hormones will decrease to a level where menstruation ceases and menopause is reached.
First thing in the morning on an empty stomach is ideal, however you may take the tablets any time of the day. If you are on 4 tablets per day, then it’s best to take two tablets in the morning 30 minutes before breakfast and two tablets 30 minutes before dinner. Harmony Menopause is best taken away from meals (but not essential) with warm water or juice (easier to digest) and on an empty stomach. Any concentrated herbs consumed on a weak or empty stomach can cause a slight uncomfortable feeling in certain individuals. In this case, simply take directly after meals.
